Colour Management in Large-Format Digital Printing.

  1. Consistent and reproducible colours: Colours look the same on different materials, printers, or even on different days.
Colour deviations between series or reprints are minimised.
  2. Accurate colour reproduction: Corporate design colours (e.g., specific CI red tones or blue values) can be reliably reproduced.
ICC profiles ensure that colours are transferred as accurately as possible from file to print.
  3. Less waste & lower costs: Fewer test prints for colour matching. Material and ink consumption are reduced because the print is closer to the desired result right from the start.
  4. Better control of complex motifs: Colour gradients, skin tones, and saturated colours are reproduced more cleanly. Black tones (rich black) and neutral grey appear more stable and without colour casts.
  5. Optimal adaptation to different materials: With specific profiles, colours can be optimally adjusted for banners, textiles, mesh, foils, papers, etc. This gives each substrate the best possible colour reproduction.
  6. Standardisation across multiple printing systems: Multiple printers (even different brands/models) can deliver consistent color results. Ideal for larger production environments or franchise systems.
  7. More professional appearance: Higher customer satisfaction thanks to precise colours. Competitive advantage in high-quality advertising and display printing.
  8. More efficient workflows: Fewer manual corrections, as soft proofing and proof prints are more accurate. Reproducible colour standards facilitate collaboration within the team and with external designers.
