Professional cutting solutions that are versatile & productive.
Summa products complement the Colyer collection of printers. They provide our customers with the perfect cut finish, whether it is for flatbed or laser printers.
Summa’s highly engineered tangential cutting heads have a unique motorised knife, allowing the cutters to achieve unparalleled accuracy and precision down to the smallest details. This “True Tangential” cutting technology even handles heavy sandblasts, paint masks, and reflective materials.
Summa offers five flatbed cutter models in total, including one in the F Series and four in the V Series. Three models feature a fixed table, while two are equipped with a conveyor system. With multiple size options available across the range, there is always a solution tailored to your specific production needs.
Founded in 1973 and based in Gistel, Belgium, Summa has built a global reputation over more than 50 years for precision cutting technology and innovative solutions that help businesses produce detailed, high-quality finished products. Best known for its high-quality vinyl roll cutters, flatbed finishing cutters, and laser cutting solutions, Summa’s broad portfolio provides equipment for applications across the sign, display, textile, packaging, and printing industries.
Summa’s offerings are backed by industry-recognized quality standards, including ISO 9001 certification, and a strong focus on durable, high-performance machines designed for demanding professional environments.
Summa is known for its innovation and ambition to create user-friendly, cutting-edge precision equipment. The company continuously develops advanced technologies that combine accuracy, automation, and ease of use, helping professionals achieve consistent, high-quality results. Central to this is Summa’s proprietary True Tangential cutting technology, which actively controls blade direction to produce sharper corners, cleaner edges, and superior results on thicker and more complex materials.
Complementing this precision is Summa’s advanced optical recognition technology. OPOS X (Optical Positioning System) enables highly accurate, automated contour cutting by detecting multiple registration marks on a wide range of materials, including specialty and laminated media, supporting efficient, hands-free workflows. For even greater accuracy, OPOS CAM uses advanced camera optics combined with intelligent recognition software to enhance mark detection and alignment, delivering exceptional registration performance in demanding print-and-cut applications.
